Website and portal
Terms of use
Last updated 15 August 2026
These terms apply when you use the EG Africa website and EG Cars client, mechanic or administrator portals. By using an account, you agree to use the service lawfully and only for its intended business purpose.
Accounts and access
You must provide accurate information, protect your password and recovery codes, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Accounts and permissions are individual. You may not share credentials, bypass role restrictions, interfere with security controls or access another person’s records without authority.
Bookings and automotive services
Portal bookings are service requests until accepted or scheduled by EG Cars. Mobile service carries the displayed R300 transport fee and a machine diagnostic carries the displayed R250 fee. Dates, scope, parts, pricing and completion estimates may change after inspection or client approval. The intake record may include mileage, fuel, existing damage, vehicle contents and photographs. Clients should remove personal belongings before work begins.
Quotations and payments
The client must accept the issued quotation before a job card is created. At least 70% must clear in the EG Cars bank account before repair or fitting work starts, with the balance due as stated on the quotation. Uploaded payment proof is evidence for review and is not itself confirmation of cleared funds. Mechanics and drivers do not collect client service money; administration records verified bank payments and pays staff separately.
Contracts and staff documents
Contract templates and issued documents in the portal are private operational records. Access is limited to administrators, the selected role or the specifically assigned account. A template does not become a signed agreement merely because it is uploaded; signing and approval requirements remain those stated in the document and applicable law.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful or harmful content, probe the service, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer protected functions or use the platform to misrepresent work, payments or identity. We may restrict or disable access to protect clients, staff, systems or legal obligations.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep the service accurate and available, but maintenance, networks and third-party services can cause interruptions. Public website content is general information and is not a substitute for a signed scope, quotation or professional advice. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms when services, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date. Questions can be sent to info@eg-africa.co.za.
